Kaushal Mela was organised at Guru Ram Rai Inter College, Sahaspur, Dehradun on 14th January, 2018 as final and valedictory event of an extensive campaign for 15 days under the banner and title “Kaushal Pakhwara”. Kaushal Mela was attended by more than 700 rural youths and in groups, they all were given one-hour seminar in skilling India Mission, PMKK and various programs available for them. During the seminar, special focus was kept to sensitise the youth about the importance of skills, and how it can help them to earn their livelihood, which will ultimately improve their quality of life. The outcome of the seminar was that not only 300 candidates got enrolled for different programs, but many submitted their Expression of Interest to visit PMKK for further career guidance.

 Kaushal Mela also witnessed an interaction with about 50 community leaders, invited from nearby village Panchayats or from the field of academics. A special session was conducted to make them aware about PMKK, which is operating in their district under Skill India Mission.

 Kaushal Mela was culminated with an award ceremony for winners of Skill Competition organised during Kaushal Pakhwara, and certificate distribution for successful pass out candidates. Many influential people from local area attended the program, and the Chief Guest was Shri Sahdev Singh Pundir, Member of the legislative assembly, who  addressed the youth and community by appreciating the efforts done by the team from PMKK.
