Over the years, F-TEC Skill Development has played a significant role in increasing literacy levels, accessing the changing aspirations of the youth, a desire to improve the quality of life and earn their livelihood. There is a huge scope in terms of readiness of youth with on-job applicable skills. Amongst those seeking a skilling program and ultimately looking at getting a job are large numbers of youth from low-income families and disadvantaged backgrounds. Engaging with the state and central governments in the states like Rajasthan, U.P, Haryana, North East, provides us with the opportunity to reach to the right candidate and more importantly provide the financial incentive to those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

   Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK)

Vocational training needs to be made aspirational to transform India into the skill capital of the world. In line with the same, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) intends to establish visible and aspirational model training centres in every district of the country. NSDC is the implementation agency for the project. The model training centres envisage to
:• Create benchmark institutions that demonstrate aspirational value for competency based skill development training
• Focus on elements of quality, sustainability and connect with stakeholders in skills delivery process
• Transform from a mandate driven footloose model to a sustainable institutional model
These training centres will be state of the art Model Training Centres (MTCs), called as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK). In Phase I, of the 23 training partners, Vikas Bharti Bishunpur (Lead Partner) and F-TEC Skill Development (Consortium Partner) have been allotted the prestigious project to implement PMKK for Jharkhand Cluster JH3 in the parliamentary constituencies Lohardaga, Chatra, Palamu. Trades offered are IT-ITes, Healthcare, Plumbing, Handicrafts, Agriculture, Food Processing, Apparel.


   Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)

Approved for another four years (2016-2020) to benefit 10 million youth

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Under this Scheme, Training and Assessment fees are completely paid by the Government.

The Short Term Training imparted at PMKVY Training Centres is expected to benefit candidates of Indian nationality who are either school/college dropouts or unemployed. Apart from providing training according to the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) primarily between Level 1-5, centres shall also impart training in Soft Skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial and Digital Literacy. Duration of the training varies per job role, ranging between 200-400 hours. Upon successful completion of assessment, candidates shall be provided placement assistance by Training Partners (TPs). Under PMKVY, the entire training and assessment fees are paid by the Government in alignment with the common norms. Every effort thereby to be made by PMKVY training centres to provide placement opportunities to candidates, trained and certified under the Scheme. TPs shall also provide support to entrepreneurship development. To ensure that high standards of quality are maintained by PMKVY TCs, NSDC and empanelled Inspection Agencies shall use various methodologies, such as self-audit reporting, call validations, surprise visits, and monitoring through the Skills Development Management System (SDMS).

CURRENT SECTORS

 
 

   Rajasthan Council of Secondary Education (RCSE)

In collaboration with NSDC and NVEQF, skilling project in the state of Rajasthan extends vocational education to secondary level (classes 9-10), and higher secondary level in government schools (classes 11-12). Moreover, certification for these courses and trades offered in the vocational stream of schools, are jointly done by government and the private sector, so that youth can pursue their skill path upon completion of the school. NSQF based programs in Government schools are executed with Government of Rajasthan wherein presently offering programs in 92 government schools in the Beauty & Wellness, IT-ITes sectors in the state of Rajasthan.


   Rajasthan State Livelihood and Development Corporation (RSLDC)

F-TEC Skill Development has been implementing the project under Rajasthan State Livelihood and Development Corporation (RSLDC) for 4 Skill Development Institute for residential training to 1000 youth in the state of Rajasthan. Presently two SDIs are functional in Barmer and Kota, training youth in the sectors – Construction, Renewable Energy, Apparel.


   National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM)

The National Urban Livelihoods Mission was set up to reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor. F-TEC has partnered with state governments to implement NULM in various districts.

   State Urban Development Agency (SUDA)

The National Urban Livelihoods Mission was set up to reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor. F-TEC has partnered with state governments to implement NULM in various districts.

   UGC-Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra

Under the XIIth Plan scheme, one of its kind Grant-in-Aid project from UGC, Ministry of HRD aims to establish model Kaushal Vikas Kendra at select colleges/University. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra (DDUKK) has been sanctioned by UGC to only 48 institutions throughout the country. Maharashtra Education Society (MES) Abasaheb Garware College, Pune, has been selected to offer NSQF aligned programs from certificate to B. VOC level. The innovative scheme provides a great opportunity for those students who have been deprived of higher education for getting skill-based, job-oriented degrees under the title “B.Voc” (Bachelor of Vocation). The uniqueness of the degree is such that it has multiple exit points with job opportunity at each stage. The course has been designed to provide skill education with hands on experience by specifically defining the job role and providing necessary skills for it. F-TEC Skill Development is the knowledge partner to the college offering B.Voc program in Beauty & Wellness, Mass Communication and Media Convergence under the scheme.


   Haryana Skill Development Mission (HSDM)

Realising the importance of skill development in addressing the challenges of unemployment and to ensure gainful employment for the poor and vulnerable people, State Skill Development Mission has been constituted under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary. F-TEC Skill Development is implementing the skill mission at Sonipat, Karnal, Nuh under the mission directives.


   University of Delhi – Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board

F-TEC has been engaged with Non Collegiate Women’s Education Board (University of Delhi) to offer 288 hr NSQF aligned programs at UG level integrated with regular studies.


   Skill Lab @ Schools

F-TEC is operating Skill Lab under IT-ITes sector, at a public school in Delhi. The offering includes NSQF aligned programs from 9th to 12th standard.
